Everton Sign A Third Belgian International
Bookmark and Share

When most Everton fans are in bed - way past the the transfer deadline - Everton have announced that a deal was agreed prior to the window being shut at 11pm yesterday to bring Belgian international Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe to Goodison Park.

The paperwork was submitted to the Premier League and Football Association, but needs verifying by FIFA. This will happen early next week.

Vady (to his mates) is a Belgian International, who has played with Gent, Anderlecht, Hamburg and Bruges and will link up with International team mates Fellaini and Mirallas.

The 23 year old is midfield player will join on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy.

Evertonians were happy when they toddled off to bed. They'll be ecstatic when they wake to the news that Everton have signed a sixth player in the lovely transfer window. Well played boys and girls.

Well done Blue Bill & Moyesy. We've now got a squad that looks like it can shake up the top end of the league. Bit of a bum note on Saturday, but we're Evertonians -we don't expect it to be easy coz we've always had to fight like bulldogs to get anything (unlike our sh*77y-ars3d neighbours who get it given on a silver tray -NOT THIS YEAR you troupe of awfully average turds!). Expecting BIG things in the coming months and years -WHAT'S OUR NAME?!

This lad is a runner and hard grafter, he can bang in the goals as well... but when he runs at defenders he turns and twist and ends up putting on a plate for the striker or takes it himself! TAKE A LOOK AT HIM ON THE TUBE... Brilliant signing even if it was a couple of minutes before the deadline, lets hope he gets a few games.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MBWmlYwPLM

What with the Belgium national team being flavour of the month around Europe after a few decades of anonymity,we have done tremendous business in securing two of their established stars to keep Fellaini content and offer him Flemish home comforts. In recent years it's been almost unheard of for Everton to offer any form of transfer activity,so for all whats been signed and sealed these past couple of weeks indicates that were a club that is progressing in the right fashion and the Everton good vibes radar is transmitting on a positive frequency.

Agreed seymok, this time last year most of us were suicidal cos we'd lost alot of players and things were just bleak - but what a difference a year makes. The past 2 transfer windows have been immense for us COYB let's go for 4th, hell - let's even go for 3rd

Great work by the management and board. No major losses and five great (senior) additions. Best of all they have managed it without going into the red. I have written out the current team sheet and it would appear we have a quality squad with adequate cover in all areas. 2 Keepers, 2 Right Backs, 2 Left Backs, 4 Centre Backs, 6 Centre Midfielders , 4 Wingers and 4 Attackers / Strikers. When you bear in mind many of these players can cover in several positions we are looking really good right now. I hope we can continue with the early success and aim really high this season to prove to the likes of Baines and Fellaini that they have made the right decision to stick with the Toffees!

Credit must be given to kenwright and moyesy. Both worked wonders starting months ago with bill beavering away sorting peanuts deal. Great work Bill proper blue Hopefully now the "officers" of the BU will get back to anfield now where they're needed to find funds for a striker

So glad I had a sneaky tenner on us to finish in the top four. I was confident before yesterday, but it now looks like we have a great squad to go with our great team. I'm off to put a tenner on Moysie to be manager of the year, and Fellaini to be player of the month. COYB.

Seeing him on YouTube got me singing... Vadis the way aha aha I like it aha aha! Ridiculously skilful, ticks all the boxes and might I add a tenacious lil fcUK at that! If we can get him on a full next year (and not sell any players) I swear I won't say another bad word against Kenright!

Wow . . . just simply wow . . . it looks like we have finally worked out how to get a window to work in our favour. Jan window was great with Gibson, Jelavic and Pienaar . . now we have added Mirallas, Niasmith, Oveido, Ofoe and Pienaar again . . and to add the icing we have lost no one of significance . . . pinch me please to stop me getting too excited . . we now have a quality sqaud with depth.
