Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe Appeal Unlikely
Bookmark and Share

Although Everton had the necessary paperwork registered in time for the 11pm deadline last Friday to sign Belgian International Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe, FIFA would not rubber stamp the deal.

The Premier League and Football Association backed Everton, but still international clearance wasn't sanctioned by FIFA.

It now appears that Brugge had not got their paperwork in order and therefore the deal was not rubber stamped.

Everton are still to say what they will do. An appeal through the Court of Arbitration for Sport is one avenue left open, but that seems unlikely.

So roll on January and lets see if we can get the deal done then.

Palacious ??? seriously ???? He can not even get himself a place in Stoke's team and does not seem able to get himself fit. We have quality young players who I would much rather see us give a chance.

Shame he looked quite decent. Would take Wilson Palcios on loan to bolster midfield now

Leave it late and you get your fingers burnt. Should have been signed earlier.

I seem to remember a certain afro head being keen on playing the box to box, anchor role. I also recall we have two new players who enjoy playing the forward midfield role, one of which has played with Jelavic at a previous club. Seriously guys. We'll be fine.

A bit of a balls up really whoever was at fault. This leaves us light of a link up man in the middle when you take out Gibson. Although Osman can be a great player on his day, he can also stink the place out too. Plan B anyone ?

I hope we do go back in for him as we could do with a good central midfielder to challenge the likes of Gibbo and Felli and also step in and do a job if one of them suffers an unfortunate injury cos it's ok having Neville in midfield on the odd occasion to tighten us up but not to play there often as he hasnt got the legs or ball playing quality. Odjidja-Ofoe is a big lad and looks a strong runner and looks like he can play and would be a quality signing IMO
