Considering A Move For Hitman
Bookmark and Share

The Newcastle game showed us what we already know. We are short in the middle of the park.

There are plenty of names being bandied around, but reports have it that Tommy "The Hitman" Hitzlsberger has been at Finch Farm doing a bit of training.

David Moyes is considering a short term contract for the 30 year old. Yer never know

He is currently training with Everton, so hopefully he can prove himself worthy of a deal and hopefully prove to be useful in the team. No disrespect to Phil Neville as he has been a great servant to the club over the years, but he is now 35 and is nearing the end of his playing days with maybe only one more season left in him after this one, so if we sign Thomas Hitzlsperger who is 30 and potentially could possibly play until he is 35, if he can perform well in midield then I think he could be a good replacement for Phil Neville. Only time will tell!

He's proven himself to be a competent Premier League player...he's not a known troublemaker...where's the down-side?! ...As for Manny Fernandes...players often find a second wind when they've got unfinished business... always sign a player who's got something to prove!

I'll probably get slated for this but I think Joe B would do more than a decent job in centre mid! He'd have to take a pay cut I know but it could still happen!

Our needs must. The next month we must keep the pace. We need Tommy, Manny -on low terms. This season is ours to make. Whats Our Name?

I say get him. If he comes on and gets us a point or three with his famous piledrivers it will be well worth it.

Good player, i think we all no that Neville can never go in central midfield ever again. Theres no point signing Hargreves hes always injured he will never be fit. The hammer cant half hit a ball as well, sign him up and Manny Fernandes both on frees both good options to have on the bench at least.

I like 'Der Hammer' as a player. Good attitude, hard working, very experienced and most importantly he can hit the ball from 35 meters with absolutely no chance of saving. And goals like that are in short supply at Everton for quite long time. Get him in. Even not as a 1st regular he will bring quality to the team.
