Peanut's is a South African international and honed his football skills at Johannesburg's School of Excellence before joining Ajax Cape Town a feeder club for the Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam.

He was brought over to Holland in January 2001 but did not make his Eredivisie debut until 24 February 2002 - in a 1-0 victory over NEC Breda. He became a pivotal member of the Ajax team that won the Dutch League in 2002 and 2004.

In January 2006 he joined Borrusia Dortmund but he struggled to settle and was not accepted by the fans.

Steven Pienaar joined Everton initially on loan then signed a £2m 3year deal in July 2007. He made his Premier League debut for Everton in the latter stages of a 2-1 home victory against Wigan Athletic. He scored his first Everton goal in the 2-0 home victory over Middlesborough on 30th September 2007 and became an established member of the first team.

The tricky wide player, needs to score more but is a real grafter too and is a fan's favourite amongst the Toffeemen.

Steven left Everton to join Spurs for around £2.5m in January 2011.

Peanuts came back to Everton on loan in January 2012. He realised what a great club he had left, and decided he wanted to make the stay permanant.

Steven returned to Everton 31st July 2012 and signed a 4 year contract.
