Marouane Fellini is a product of the Anderlecht Youth Academy where he started at the age of seven. His first full time contract was with Standard Liege where in the two seasons 2006-2008 he plated 86 times scoring 11 goals.

The tall midfielder is highly rated and was being sought by a number of clubs before Moyesy signed him for £15m on deadline day in 2009 on a five year deal, a record for any Belgian deal and also for Everton.

Fella made his debut in a 3-2 away win at Stoke then went on to score in his next game against Newcastle. The was named Everton's Young Player of the Season at the end of his first year.
