Tobias Linderoth has completed a
£2.5 million transfer from Norwegian club Stabaek to Everton
and will be in the squad to face Ipswich on Saturday .The
22-year-old midfielder, who has played 17 times for Sweden, signed
a 4 & a half year deal.
Tobias
says: "I am delighted the deal has gone through, Everton
seems like a great club and there are a lot of Swedes here now.I
only heard about the move yesterday, so it has all happened very
quickly, but I am glad that it has been completed. I have spoken
to them before when we have met up with the national team, we
have spoken a bit about Everton and they have only said positive
things about the club. I want to be a better football player and
I want to do my best to for the club. It is going to be different,
the pace is a lot faster and it should help me immensely because
this is one of the best leagues in the world."
Toby, to his Blue Kipper mates, will wear the number 22 shirt
(not a Jersey,as they call it on the official site. Has the fella,
who writes thier stuff ever....). Gazza & Pembo welcomed young
Toby by pinching his clothes & wearing them around Bellfield,
while the lad had his medical. Looking at the gear he had on,
they should have binned it. Me Grandad has got a zip-up like that.
He'd say: "Spend some of that Cabury's on some decent stuff,
Toby lad." (31/01/02)
