Good To Be Back

The Rad was back in action last night after missing so many games at the end of last season. It was a welcome return.

Moysey said: "Tomasz got his goal and made another but he could maybe have been involved in another one or two as well. He looked sharp and it is what we expect from Tomasz. He is in need to get the games now because he is hasn't played for the last three or four months." (19/07/03)

Tommy Out Of Fulham Game

With the squad given all day Wednesday, & Thursday morning off due to the International call-ups. Everton thought this extra rest would give Tommy his chance to get back to full fitness. But Tommy didn't train on Thursday afternoon with the rest of the squad. So he's out of the Fulham game. (02/05/03)

Tommy Fit For Villa

Tommy, who just missed out at Chelsea should be fit for the game on Saturday against Villa. It's just a question of if Moyesy will play him. Our guess is he will play him up front in place of The Duke. (23/04/03)

Back For Newcastle Game?

The Rad has an outside chance of making it for the home game against Newcastle on Sunday 6th April according to the boss.

Moyesy said: “I think he’ll be out at the minimum for two weeks. He’s got a slight chance of making the Newcastle game, but it could take a week or two longer.”(26/03/03)

Rad Out For Up To A Month

The Rad missed his 1st game of the season against Arsenal due to a grin injury.

Moyesy says: "It's disappointing to lose Tomasz. He'll be out between 2-4 weeks but hopefully he'll be back sooner rather than later." (24/03/03)

More Praise For The Rad

The Rad played his 41st successive Premiership match on Saturday. This is an Everton record beating Dave Waston and Tony Costalotee. His team mates are happy as hell that he covers so much ground and quickly too.

Stevie Wato said "Radz has been absolutely fantastic this season. His pace and his energy are incredible. Last week was without a doubt the best game he has ever played. He is terrifying teams and he has ridiculous pace. But he is also finishing goals off, setting up goals and breaking down the wings. He is a great outlet. He can give defenders two or three yards and still get there first."

Moyesy said: Tommy played really well again. His pace is a threat to anyone, he is so quick and we are really pleased with his long spell of good form.He is getting goals himself and on Saturday he set up the goal which Steve Watson eventually finished." (03/03/03)

I'm Not Ronaldo

The Rad scored his 11th Premiership goal of the season on Saturday, but it could have been more. His work-rate has been magnificent and it is his never say die attitude that got him his goals on Saturday. A lesser man would have gone into hiding after a couple of earlier chances had gone begging.

The Rad said: "If you put every chance you have into the goal, then you would a better player than Ronaldo probably.Every single striker misses chances, and the thing you must do is try to stay focused, and if you are not the one scoring the goals then try to be the one providing them. If you don't have the belief in yourself that you are going to score and you are going to win, then you may as well just stay in the changing room. I just go out and try to win, and if it doesn't work the first time, then I'll try a second time and so on. I'm pleased I am still playing and in the team, but I think that if you work hard here, not only scoring the goals but also working for the team, then you deserve your place."

Now Keep It Going For Europe

After his two goals against the Saints, Tommy wants the team to keep winning & go for Europe.

The Rad says: "Now the dream is in front of our eyes. There's only ten more games and we cannot drop many points. There has been pressure all season. Back in November everyone was questioning why Everton were so high in the table, and we showed everybody that we can keep it up. Now we are still there with the best of them. We're at Middlesbrough next and that will be hard, but if we cannot take on games like this we won't get into Europe. We must do the job and get the points. The determination we have is clear to everyone, we are showing it all the time now." (23/02/03)

Happy Camper

Even though Wayne has finished his ban Tomasz is very happy about his goals and his overall performance. He hopes to put Moyesy under pressure to keep him in the side.

The Rad said: "All I can do is try to help the team's performance and train hard, then it's up to the gaffer to decide who plays but I think I've pushed my claims this season. Every big club needs a lot of competition for places if it is going to achieve anything so I don't see it as a problem, I see it as a good sign for Everton, it's a bonus. With Wayne coming back we have five strikers chasing two places. It's a big task for the gaffer to decide and I don't envy him."

Moyesy said: "It was a good move- and a lovely finish from Tommy Radzinski who lifted it over the goalkeeper from an angle. It was thoroughly deserved, he’s worked extremely hard," (03/02/03)

Birthday Blues

The Rad was right when he said, young Wayne was a threat. He took his place on Saturday against Blackburn. Tommy's 29th Birthday. Tommy has had a good season so far. He is a different player from last season. Now he is always willing to chase & track back, even though he hasn't got a tackle in him to save his life. He has scored some vital goals this season. But if you want to be ultra critical his goals ratio is poor, scoring 5 times in 19 appearances (plus 2 as sub), whereas Rooney has scored 5 times in 6 apperances (plus 14 as sub). The giant screens shouting 'Happy Birthday' to Tommy, when he came on as sub, would have been cold comfort to him. (17/12/02)

Wayne Is A Threat

The Rad admitted that it was the threat of The Duke thats making him pull his plonker out.

The Rad said: " "Wayne is trying to make his way into the first team. But we will make it difficult for him, but whenever he grabs his chance he will be brilliant. I have to be on my very best form, 100 per cent, to stay in the team. I know that."(25/11/02)

Team Player

The Rad is getting another bucket full of praise thrown his way. The boss is has been complimenting him on his work-rate saying he is becoming more of a team player. The Rad uses the word trust to describe his team mates

Moyesy said:"Once again Tomasz has worked his socks off, he is getting his goals and you know he is so much now a team player whereas in the past, my understanding was that he wasn't a team player but now he has got himself into the situation where he is one of the players in the team we look to for inspiration"

The Rad said:“If you know you can trust the defenders then it makes it easier to score goals.”(24/11/02)

I Should Have Got More

One day The Rad is gonna score a shedfull. He put one away on Saturday but he really should have scored at least one more and made it an easy last 15 minutes for us. Good thing is that he is getting the chances.

Moyesy said :To be fair, he should have had a hat-trick. But if you are a centre forward and you're not getting chances or attempts at goal, then you've got a problem. At Leeds last week he had three great attempts which the goalkeeper was forced to save. When you are getting as many openings as he does then that's good. He is playing with much more confidence than when I first came to the club, and with a lot of belief in his own ability.

"His work-rate, if nothing else, has been exceptional. Against Charlton it was the way he got in front of things and closed people down.

The Rad said:"It was a magnificent goal and a magnificent performance but for the last 10 minutes, and I should have scored at least one more goal, maybe even two. We are fourth. We think we can win every game after the condfidence boost of beating Arsenal."(11/11/02)

Praise for The Rad

David Moyes was quick to heap a bucketfull of praise at The Rad for his performance against Leeds. The Rad is pulling his plonker out at the moment and all he needs is a bit of luck and surely the goals will come

Moyesy said: "If you look at Radzinski's performance, he had lots of attempts at goal, the goalkeeper making saves from him, and it would be unfair on him to drop him. Wayne will grab the headlines and he will continue to do that throughout his career, but it was Tomasz Radzinski who ran them ragged and left it open for Wayne to finish them off in the closing moments"(05/11/02)

I Want To Train

If my boss said to me that I could have a day or two off I would have bitten his hand off. But not The Rad, he wanted to get stuck in to training as soon as he could and David Moyes is chuffed to bits.

The Boss said:"We would have been quite happy for him to miss a day or two, but he wanted to train every day. Tomasz has trained all week despite getting a bad knock last weekend. He has wanted to train and that is the way I want my players to be. I want them to be keen to keep hold of their place if they feel there are players out of the team pushing to get in."(02/11/02)

Don't Worry Be Happy

The Rad is a happy bunny at the moment. He scored and put in another tremendous performance against the Arse. He is playing the best stuff of his Everton career.

The Rad said: "I think it's going to be a couple of days before the smile is wiped off my face, because this has been one of the most incredible weekends of my life. We put in a very good performance and although we had a little bit of luck, we were on top of them and we looked equal to them. With all the work we'd put in to the week before the game and the effort we'd put in during the 90 minutes, I think we deserved it." (21/10/02)

The Rad Plays Against Scots

The Rad is expected to play for Canada against next Tuesday evening at Easter Road. Hoping to play against him will Scot Gemmill and Gary Nacesmith. I bet the first chance he gets goes in the back of the net. (10/10/02)

It's Great To Be A Blue

The Rad is feeling the pressure from being the first choice strike at the moment and he loves it. He has made a great start to the season and he hopes it continues.

He explained: " I think everyone who is in the team right now is giving 200% in training because they want to stay in the team. We know thta there's not much room for error and we know that if we make a mistake then someone else is waiting to take our place, so everyone's on their toes which is great"

"It's a great team to play for at the moment. I feel good, I can play the 90 minutes and more importantly I can run for the 90 minutes. I always feel I can give that little bit more". (06/10/02)

You ain't Seen Nothing Yet

The Rad is determined to wipe away last seasons disappointments. After his goalscoring performance against Spurs he is buzzing. He is also hoping that the 3 up front isn't a one off.

The Rad said: “I hope the frustrations of last season are forgotten and buried. I don’t want to think about getting injured again, but the good part about this season is that we’ve had a great preparation. I feel much fitter than I did last season and that’s important. When you’re fit and you know what you can do physically, you’re much more confident. Hopefully, it will stay like this for some time.”

"We didn’t even train using three strikers, but the moment of the game, everything started to be clear and I think we did quite well. Wayne was working in one channel, I was working in the other and Kevin was in the middle, trying to hold the ball up and I thought it worked really, really well.”

"Wayne did really great. It was his first big game and for a lad who is 16, he’s really mature – and the way he can handle the ball, he’s got a gift. He’ll be good for us, but he’ll be making my job difficult to keep my place in the team!”

“That’s great for the team because it keeps everybody sharp –and when Duncan, Joe-Max and Chaddy come back, it’ll be even more spicy! The more players available who can score goals, the team will profit.” (24/08/02)
