Everton Fans Have Always Been Good To Me

Pembo says thanks to the fans.

Pembo says: "I really enjoyed my time there, the fans were always magnificent with me, home and away, and I will have plenty of good memories. They are a smashing club and with a good manager who is determined to improve them, and he certainly already has. There are some great young players there too, who are going to make a great career for themselves. I will miss the place." (04/09/03)

Pembo To Fulham

Mark has gone to Fulham in a £500,000 deal. With his contract up in June 2004, Moyesy wouldn't give him a new one, but Fulham will give him 2 years. Moyesy says: " "Mark has agreed to join Fulham and we wish him well because he has done great for us. The offer of £500,000 rising to £750,000 I felt was good considering he is coming up to 33 and is in the last year of his contract. They are probably going to give him a couple of years contract which at this present time I couldn’t guarantee. What I felt was right for the player was to give him an opportunity to speak to Fulham and he has agreed terms. We will miss him because he has played well for us in recent weeks but in the long term I feel it is the right decision."

Pembo played over 100 games for us. Not always the fans favourite, but a steady performer. Good Luck, Pembo. (01/09/03)

Full 90

Pembo played the full game for Wales in their 1-0 defeat against Serbia & Montenegro. As usual he run himself into the ground. He looked knackered for the last 15 minutes. At times it looked like he couldn't walk. (21/08/03)

I'll Get You Goals

All the lads are saying the right things as they prepare for the start of the season. If Pembo gets more games this season he promises more goals.

Pembo said:"I did score regularly earlier in my career, but then if you look at my career I played consistently, week in week out - except for when I came to Everton. So hopefully I can stay injury free and if I get a run in the team perhaps I can score a few goals. That's the key really, playing games more regularly - which keeps you match fit as well."(16/07/03)
