Clubs Fight For Schuey

Moyesy says: “Steven is at Oldham and Bury would have been interested in taking him but you can't transfer the loan at this stage and so he will remain at Oldham."
Graham Barrow, Bury boss says: "I am extremely disappointed not to have signed Steven. But this may not be the end of it. Although it won't go through in time for this season, we may try and bring him in during the summer.” (26/03/04)

Boundary Bound

Everton reserve midfielder has been given the chance to play some regular first team football by John Sheridan at Oldham Athletic. Schuey who has represented England at Under 19 level, has found his chances limited at Goodison, and has gone to Oldham on a trial basis, where Sheridan will be able to run the rule over him. Good luck Stephen, hope it works's out. (02/02/04)

Good Start

Steven scored on his debut for Carlisle against Huddesfield in the LDV Vans Trophy.

Schuey said:"It was great to play my home debut for Carlisle and scoring so early was amassive boost for my confidence, especially with it being in a first team situation. It is every player's aim to be involved at first team level and I am no different, so over the next month I want to be able to get as much experience as possible in order to help me push on with my carrer."(09/11/03)

On Loan

Moyesy has let Steven go to Carslile on loan for a month. But this could end up longer if both clubs agree. The 19 year old midfielder has done well for the reserves this season.

Andy Holden says: “It’s a good move for him - he’s a young lad and I’m sure he’ll benefit from it. He’s been doing well for me and we’ll be monitoring his progress up there.  It’ll be a good experience for him, playing on a Saturday and we wish him well.” (31/10/03)
