Moyesy has allowed Luke to join Plymouth on loan till the end of the season to get some much needed first team football. Luke who was signed from Swindon last June is sixth in the front line pecking order, but is most definitely one for the future. His ex Plymouth Boss Paul Sturrock was quick to take him on loan when offered, and Luke will go straight into Plymouth's Squad today for their clash against Cardiff. Good luck and see you in the Summer Luke. Plymouth Manager Paul Sturrock says: "He is a fantastic prospect and I am delighted he is joining us. I know him from my time at Swindon and I know what he is all about. He is a different type of striker than we have at the club at the moment, and I believe he will fit quickly into what we are doing down here." (01/01/08) Nothing better than scoring on your debut for Everton and that is what Luke did in the 1-0 victory over Bury. Well played. Luke says: "It is always good to get a goal in your first game but there are a lot of things I could have done better. It was a bit of a scrappy goal but they all count. I enjoyed playing with Victor - he is obviously a really good player, he has played in the Premiership and he is powerful and quick." (15/07/07) Everton's only signing of the Summer so far is aiming for the top. Eighteen year old Luke completed his signing from Swindon during the Summer and can't wait to get started. The forward played just 38 games at Swindon scoring 5 times before moving to Goodison. Luke says: "I am probably 90 per cent excited and 10 per cent nervous. I have to admit training could not come quickly enough. The sooner the balls are out and training really begins the better. The number one priority is to prove myself as a first-team player for Everton. I have not signed for Everton just to settle for playing in the reserves now and again. I want more than that and I will be working as hard as possible in pre-season to get to where I want to be. It has all been a dream but now that feeling has to stop as it isn't and I have to get real.” (02/07/07) |
