Steven Schumacher

Bolton 1, Everton 1. / Wed 19th March. 2003./ Atten: / @ Bury FC. Kck-Off: 7.00pm

EVERTON: Simmonsen, Said, McLeod, Pilkington, Gerrard, Carsley, Alexandersson Osman, Ferguson, Rooney, Pembridge

BENCH: A. Moogan for Pembridge (61m), Schumacher for Rooney (61m), Symes for Alexandersson (80m), Turner, Crowder.

SCORERS: Schumacher 74

Simmonsen: Quiet game, but did well when called upon.
Said: Likes getting forward. Isn't too keen at getting back. Some nice touches. Fast.
McLeod: Good game. Some good through balls. Only bad thing was he got caught in possession and that led to their goal.
Pilkington: Good in the air. Steady performance. Played the simple ball. Missed a sitter when he headed wide from a corner.

Gerrard: One for the future. Strong in the air. Good distribution. Cool under pressure.
Carsley: Typical Harry Hill performance. Went chasing when he never had the ball. 100% effort.
Alexandersson: Not in the game. Must have been sulking as he's been left out of the Swedish squad.
Osman: Our Man of the match. Looks a complete player. Is comfortable on the ball. Passes intelligently. Never stops tackling back. Had a few chances when he went up front for Rooney.
Ferguson: Best game he's had since his comeback. Won every header. Set up a couple of chances for Rooney. Sold a great dummy for Rooney to have a go. Good on the ground. Will see him on the bench soon now that Bake is leaving.
Rooney: Good game. Seemed to enjoy playing with the big man. Had a few chances. Scored but it was ruled out for offside. He was withdrawn with half an hour to go. Let's hope he starts on Sunday.
Pembridge: Good game. Had a few surging runs. Supported the front two on a number of occasions.
A. Moogan: Did ok. Some good passes. Worked hard.
Schumacher: Scored a great goal. Right foot volley from inside the box. Should of had a second when clean through, but the goalie saved with his legs.
Symes: Only on for less than 10minutes, but put more effort in than Alexandersson.
