Reserves/Bolton (H)

Everton 2 Bolton 1. / Mon. 11th Nov 2002. / Attn: 651.
Everton: Simonsen, O’Hanlon, Clarke, Li Wei Feng, Pistone, Carney, Watson, Gemmill, McLeod, Chadwick, Moore.

Subs: Schumacher, Cole, Potter, Crowder.

Everton moved up the league, after a 2-1 win at Halton tonight. The game technically an away game was played at home. No questions please! Andy Holden's team are now unbeaten in 5 games, & have only lost 1 in 8. Early days we know, but great stuff. This was an awful first half. Brightened up by a great solo effort by Nick Chadwick, who has now scored 5 goals for the reserves. Super Kev. Watch yer back. We had had a little help in the second half when Akin Bulent was sent off for elbowing Chadders. We finished strongly, & sub Alan Moogan scored with a header in the last seconds to give Everton the points. Heady days for the Blues. Moyesy is cautious, & is telling everyone not to get excieted. This is the one thing we disagree with him on. Get Excieted! It may end soon.

Simonsen : Quiet game. Bolton never had many chances. No chance with their goal.
O'Hanlon: Worked hard. Got forward a gret deal. Hit the post, & crossed for the winner.
Clarke: First game back after his loan spell at Blackpool. Did well. Solid display.
Li Wei Feng: Another confident display. Has a great apitite for the game.Won a few headers.
Pistone: Quiet game. When in possesion always looks good. Not in the game enough.
Watson: Bossed the midfield with Scot Gemmill.
Gemmill:
Did well looked eager to please. Some neat passing. Always looking for the killer ball. Should have scored himself.
McLeod: Average game. Played some neat football, showed his speed on a few runs.
Chadwick: Looked ready to step into the 1st team when needed. Scored a great solo goal. Took the ball about 40 yards out, & just went for it. Head down past 2 defenders, & scored with a shot from the edge of the box. Should have got a second with a header.
Moore: Joe -Max worked very hard. Always in the game. (12/09/02)
