Subs: Simonsen, Colbeck, Flood, Garside.

Everton got a point from top of the table Leeds. This keeps the Toffees up there in a challenging position. With most of the 1st team fringe players on International duty, it was a young Everton side, which Andy Holden selected. It was a one sided game in which Leeds dominated, but the defence stood firm.

Paul Gerrard: Had a great game. Made 2 fantastic saves, & kept everything out using every part of his body. He had no chance with their goal.
Crowder: Defended well. Put some good tackles in.
George Pilkington: Dependable George. He never seems to have a bad game.
Li wei Feng: Showed great speed in clearing a couple of attacks. Good in the air, & tackle. Saved a certain goal, with a last gasp tackle.
Southern: Worked hard.
O’Hanlon: Tryed hard, & defended well.
Moogan: Scored our goal with a terrific volley.
Moore: Got through his 1st game this season.
Carney: Laid on the cross for Moogan to score. Pity he never had more chances on the ball.
McLeod: Had a couple of runs, but quiet.
Chadwick: Never had much service. (11/10/02)

Team News

We will not see the the stars coming out to play in this one. Pisto and Stevie Watson are still not fit and even though Duncan Ferguson has been sub for the last two games he is not included in tonights squad. If it's matches he needs then why isn't he playing. Answers on a postcard please.

Joe-Max Moore, Li Wei Feng, Kevin McLeod and Nick Chadwick are all expected to play.
