Everton are Top of The FA Premier Reserves League, tonight. Andy Holden's boys have played 2, won 2. Early days we know, but great stuff. This was a great end to end game. United had the better chances in the 1st half with experienced players, Gary Neville, David May, Luke Chadwick and Diego Forlan in their team. We had the best of the second half. We finished really strong. The new fitness regime looks like paying off.

Gezza: Made some great stops. Still a bit dogy on crosses. Looked like a new born giraffe on one occasion, but an improvement.
O'Hanlon: Worked hard. Got laced a few times, but stuck to his task.
McLeod: Good game. Played some neat football, showed his speed on a few runs.
Yobo: Joey looked the biz. Fast. Like shit off a shovel. Never gave the ball away. Very cool & confident. Great tussle with Forlan, which he won. Looks like your days are numbered, Stubbsey.
Li Wei Feng: Good in the air. Passed the ball well. Got stuck in. Missed a few tackles, but has a good attitude.
Osman: Looked good. Put away the goal well.
Watson: Passed the ball well from midfield. Set up a few chances. Nearly scored himself
Gemmill: Looked sluggish, which is understandable. Needs a few more more games under his belt.
Rooney: Took the piss out of 3 United defenders and rounded the goalie, but hit the post from a wide angle. It would have been a beauty. Never stopped tormenting the utd defenders. Unlucky not to score.
Chadwick: Looked up for the game. Short of matches, but stuck to his task. Had a goal ruled out for offside late on, & saw their goalie make a great save.
Rodrigo: Always in the game. Had a couple of chances. Great free kick saved by Ricardo Lopez. (04/09/02)

Moyesy continues to use the reserve games to get first team squad members prepared for the Premiership. Scott Gemmill plays his 1st game of the season & joins Juli, Rhino and Kevin McLeod who expect to play. (03/09/02)
