Peter Clarke - Skipper

Everton 5, redshite 1 / Thurs. 8th May 2003. / Atten: 2,424 /

Everton: Simonsen, O'Hanlon, B Moogan, Clarke, Pilkington, Linderoth, Schumacher, Osman (Garside 76), Chadwick (Barry 80), Symes, A Moogan.

Bench: Turner, Beck, Garside, Gerrard, Barry.

Goalscorers: Symes 20, 56 Chadwick 35, pen 57, Garside 82.

Everton started with firm intentions of making it a double over the shite and they got off to a great start when Michael Symes put us one up after 20minutes. The shite got level five minutes later, but that was the last from them. After that the rout started. Nick Chadwick put us ahead on 35 minutes leaving us 2-1 in front at half time.

Symesy and Chadders both scored a second each. Chadders scored a pen, when Symesy was brought down by the keeper who was sent for an early bath. Babbel was sent off when he didn't like the challenge from Symes. So he butted him. Very clever! Craig Garside ended the scoring after 82 minutes to make it 5-1. Two of the shite got sent off (Babbel & Luzi - knobheads)

Evertonians @ The Match

Blue Blood Brother says: "Top performance from the young lads. Totally outplayed the sh!te all over the park Babbel should be ashamed off himself. Hes a professional international on thousands a week and he decides to have ago at a teenager. I didn't see a head butt put I did see some pushing. Typical redsh!te though. Chadders was great, Symes had some good moments but basically a good team performance. How great it is to see a midfielder (Osman) in the box as much as the forwards. We could have / should have scored more but for the last 15 mins they had all their players bar one behind the ball. Shame we couldn't make the ball flow more on that godawful pitch. The sh!te players didn't play like it was a derby. Even in the mini derby you should wear your heart on your sleeve and they didn't. Its what I expect from souless redsh!te though. Well done lads."

Cookie says: " Everton were brilliant. We could have had 10, & Chadders should have had 5 of them. Babbel was a disgrace. Butting a young kid, kicking the ball away, then wanting to have a go with any blue shirt. Great moment at the end when Lumsden & Holden celebrated, & then looking at the gobs on the reshite bench. Priceless!

Rooney's Girl says: " Chadders peno was the best. Cracking performance, 2,424 although half of them seemed to be smelly little kopite kids. They soon shut their mouths when chadders roasted them. well done ressies. Nice to see all the new everton shirts with Rooney 18 on the back.

MrEFC says: "Absolute classic tonight at the Auto Quest. This little Kopite kid is crying for some reason and to piss his dad off he runs away shouting "I'm gonna be an Evertonian"! Is right lad."

Ged says: "Chadwick had a great game - he could have had 5 or 6 goals.
The shite defence just couldn't handle him. Babbel definitely head-butted, and should be ashamed of himself. Osman and Linderoth looked solid in the middle.
Saw Rodrigo last week, and he looks overweight to me, so I'll be surprised if he's in on Sunday.
Full credit to the lads for a great result.

wxmbluenose says: "great result. Thought Chadwick was awesome. Then again, the rs made all our players look awessome. Expect to see loads of Chadwick shirts around next season. He looked like an early Ferguson without the elbows.

Ludo says:
"As soon as they got on the pitch I noticed one big difference, the Everton boys looked physically stronger than the redshite lot. The redshite probably weighed about 10 stone between them.

We scored 5 well take goals, plus had 2 ruled out for offside. On this performance Chadwick deserved a long run in the first team next season, he looked a danger all night and Babbel just couldn’t cope with him.. Osman had a quiet game I thought but showed one great moment of skill in the box when he turned inside 2 defenders only to be denied a goal from a last ditch tackle. Linderoth controls the midfield and looked very useful especially considering the pitch was so crap.

Best moments of the game: Babbels sending off was great, he just flipped and lost it. Kicked the ball at anyone in sight pushed everyone he could see and then was told to stand still like a small child while the ref produced the red….Great !
Also I had a couple of nice young blues sitting to the right of me, good to look at when the game went quiet.

And lets not forget its great too see the blues stuffing the redshite at any level.

What a great night and all for the lump sum of £3." (09/05/03)
