Everton won a great game of football. It had everything great goals, silly goals, great play, some bad defending, some great last ditch tackles, great saves, 3 penalties, bookings galore, & a harsh sending off, plus more. Everton seemed to be coasting at 3-0, which could have been 5, if Chadders hadn't missed both penos, but then Utd came back to make it 3-2, & Everton were hanging on at the end. The crowd were astonished not to see Franny Jeffers in the starting line up, even after all the media & Everton had told us that he would be starting. The reason given. Stomach upset. glass ankle, glass back, now glass stomach. Will we see you again?

Turner: Made some important saves.
B Moogan: Made some great tackles. Joined the attack & put over some great crosses. One particular one was headed wide by his cousin, Alan.
Wilson:
Clarke: Commanding in the air. Helped his young defenders.
Hughes: A big step up from Academy football. Alan did well. Classy player, who will benefit from this game.
Nyarko: Played very well. Had a few chances to score. Unlucky with a great chip. Won his fare share of tackles.
Li Tie: In & Out of the game. His cross led to the 1st penalty.
Schumacher: Did OK without shining.
Chadwick: Eventful night. Was always in the right place to score. Now he must learn to convert those chances into more goals. Scored a lucky one, a great one, missed an easy one, put his 1st pen over the bar, & the 2nd was well saved.
Campbell: Scored a typical header from a corner. Again ed the line well. Another 90 mins.
A Moogan: Always involved. Did well. Laid on Super's goal.

Team News

Following his place on the bench against Spurs, Kevin Campbell could be given another run out in his bid back to full fitness. Franny Jeffers & Peter Clarke could play as they have been omitted from the Under 21's squad, now that there is no chance of qualifying. Li Tie & Nyarko will play in midfield.

Everton from: Turner, Clarke, Hughes, Nyarko, Li Tie, Chadwick, Pascucci, Campbell, Jeffers, Schumacher, Gallagher, A Moogan, Gerrard, B Moogan, Wilson, Brown, Barry.
