Coach Andy says: “Blackburn had a lot more experience than we did, but to be fair, our boys didn’t half battle well. They stuck to their task. To be honest, I would have taken a draw before the game started. I touched on that at half-time when I told the lads that I was pleased that the score was 0-0 at half-time. I thought we had enough of the possession to go and hurt them, but we gave the ball away far too cheaply, more so in the final part of the game. Having said that, both sides didn’t play for a draw, especially in the final third of the match. I am a great believer in the fact that if you work hard, you’ll get the rewards by the end of the night and I thought they did. They deserve a lot of praise.”
