Everton: Wright (R), Wright (S), Wilson, Hughes, Gerrard, Kearney, Hopkins, Watson, Vaughan, Plessis, Boyle. Bench: Phelan (Boyle 46), Anichebe (Watson 46), Vidarrsson (Kearney 46), Harriss, Turner Goalscorers: Andy Holden's second string went down to a first half goal from Man City's Mikkel Bischoff. Asa Hartford, Everton's ex midfielder, and now Shiittteeeh's second string boss, brought a fairly strong side to Southport, last night. Sean Wright Phillips, younger brother Bradley, was on show as well as the returning Nicky Weaver. All eyes however were on our returning midfielder Steve Watson, who came through forty five unscathed minutes. Everton suffered their first reverse of 2005, when Dickie Wright fumbled the Shittteeeh's midfielder shot after 33 minutes of the match. Everton pressed, and James Vaughan went close, but in fairness Shitttteeeh could have gone in more than one up, if it was not for Wright's stunning save later in the half. Everton made three changes at half time, with Watson one of the players replaced. Thankfully it was a pre arranged substitution, to ease him in gently. Everton looked for the equaliser, but it did not come, as Phelan, Vaughan and Plessis all went close. Their second half showing was a vast improvement on their first, if that is any consolation to Andy Holden. (09/03/05) Team News Steve Watson makes a long awaited return tonight, when he steps out for the rezzies at Haig Avenue. Watto's stomach injury has kept him out since the Christmas programme, when he pulled up against Shittteeh, on Boxing Day. Moyesy will be waiting to see if the midfielder comes through tonight unscathed, as if he does he will surely make the bench when the big boys visit Analfield next week. Also on show tonight will be on loan Guillame Plessis, along with Dickie Wright, who is playing his first full ninety since losing his first team place to Nige. Andy Holdens lads, will be hoping for another return of maximum points after a great win against Villa in the Midlands last week. (08/03/05) Everton (From): R Wright, S Wright, Wilson, Hughes, Gerrard, Kearney, Hopkins, Watson, Vaughan, Plessis, Boyle, Anichebe, Turner, Harris, Vidarsson, Phelan, Seargeant.
