Andy Holden had to watch as a very experienced Baggies side, snatched a last minute equaliser, to deprive Everton of a well deserved win in the Midlands last night. West Brom who fielded Jason Koumas, Inamoto, Ronnie Wallwork and £2.3m centre-back Martin Albrechtsen, were taken all the way by the Holden's youngsters.

Vaughan broke the deadlock just before the half-hour when he netted from close range. They came close to doubling their advantage when a speculative volley by Laurence Wilson was fumbled by substitute keeper Simon Miotto, but he snatched before it could cross the line.

Ronnie Wallwork struck an 88th minute equaliser to deny the Blues all the points, but on a bright note, Chinese International Li Tie, came through ninety unscathed minutes, on his road back to fitness. (30/11/04)

Andy Holden's takes his young squad to West Brom tonight as they go in search of their first win in six. Holden has named his side to face the Baggies, and the good news for Moyesy is that it includes Li Tie. The Chinese International who broke his leg back in February, is keen to play, and Basil Rathbone, will be there to watch Li, to see how he responds to his first start in months.

Everton lie fourth from bottom, and after drawing nil, nil with the Baggies back in August, will fancy their chances of pushing on to mid table safety.

Basil on Li says : " We’ve got three reserve games coming up in quick succession and we are hoping that Li Tie will play a part in each of them. He just needs games because the shin healed clinically about six weeks ago. He’s getting more mobility all the time now and he just needs to play. We won’t be putting too much pressure on him or expecting too much from him. It was good that he went back to China for seven days recently because I really did notice an improvement in him when he came back." (29/11/04)
