Everton: Turner, Wynne, Molyneaux, Hughes, Boyle, Harris, Seargeant, Carsley, Vidarsson, Hopkins, Anichebe, Bench: Ruddy, Phelan (Carsley), Kissock (Hopkins), Irving, Morrison Scorers: Anichebe (2) Victor Anichebe celebrated his first professional contract with a two goal salvo against Blackburn in Southport last night. A Blackburn side containing Italian Lorenzo Amoruso had no answers to the energetic Anichebe, who in fairness could have found the net a few more times. It was a goal in each half that gave Andy Holden maximum points. Harry Hill was brought off with twenty to go, and Blackburn had their chances. It was only the sharpness in goal of Ian Turner that kept the Everton goal intact, as the Lancastrians pressed on in the second period to get something out of the match. (05/04/06) |
