Carsley took another step in the right direction yesterday as the rezzies
beat hapless Middlesboro at the Training Academy in Bootle. Cars came
through forty five minutes, in a half that had seen the Blues take a
lead through Christian Seargeant's coolly taken goal after thirty minutes.
Most
eyes however were on Harry Hill who has took another step in his rehabilitation,
and it won't be long before he steps up to the first team.
Andy
Holden says: "It
was nice to see the good passing. It wasn’t just a punt down the middle
for the goal and we had a lot of nice bits of play, especially in the
first half, because the wind was a factor in the second half. But on
at least three or four occasions we cut them up no end and with a bit
more luck we would have had a couple more goals. Lee looks really well.
He looked fit and was playing well within himself. Long may it continue
because we could do with Lee back in the first team fold. John Ruddy
only had to concentrate to be fair, and I thought he did that very well.
He took two crosees that were top drawer. He came for one that died
a bit on him but his concentration levels were good and his kicking
was good. He did really well." (08/02/06)
