Holt Everton went down to late sucker punch goal, as tempers flared in the Mini Derby at Southport's Haig Avenue. The Blues were reduced to ten men on the hour mark after James Harris was booked for the second time on the night, as the game threatened to boil over. Yellows were handed out to Lee Carsley and Sean Wright, as commitment rather than skill was the fare on offer. Moyesy sent orders for Harry Hill to come off at half time, as the Irish International got another run out under his belt. Everton had few chances their best coming from Kissock who forced a save from the shite's keeper. No doubt the boys will be down, but with no experienced keeper, and regular reserves out on loan, Andy Holden's boys should not feel too down. (16/02/06) |
