Everton:
J.Jones,
Hibbert, Molyneux Bench: Spencer, McEntegart, Connor (Downes), Elder, Morrison (Harpur). Scorers: An inexperienced Everton second string held Blackburn to a goalless draw in Widnes last night. All eyes however were on Tony Hibbert, and no doubt Moyesy has been on the phone from the States to find out that his right back came through ninety minutes unscathed. The Blues had their chances to win, most notably when Lee Molyneux had his spot kick saved after substitute Stephen Connor was hauled down in the area. Blackburn keeper Fielding guessed right to deny Molyneux the opening goal of the game. Blackburn themselves went close when Keith Treacy blasted his shot against the bar with minutes left on the clock. Andy Holden will be happy enough though having gained a draw against a side who sit fourth in the Rezzie Table, with his inexperienced side. PRE MATCH Tony Hibbert forgot his passport and could not make the New York jolly, but who cares when the Halton Stadium in Widnes is your replacement. The unlucky right back carries on his rehabilitation tonight as the rezzies take on Blackburn at 7pm. Anderson de Silva also makes the starting line up, as the bulk of the players available to Andy Holden are Academy players . Everton
