Scorers:

Boro reserves containing Malcolm Christie and Ugo Eghiou, helped to inflict on Everton their biggest defeat of the season. The Blues found themselves two down after half an hour, and struggled to contain a rampant Boro side in the first period. An improved display in the second half by Everton held the home side at bay till the nineteith minute, when Adam Johnson settled it from close range. Big Vic and Vaughny found themselves in the referees notebook, in a frustrating night for Andy Holden's lads.

PRE MATCH

Andy Holden takes a younger looking reserve side than normal up to the North East tonight, but Moyesy can still afford to loan him, Big Vic, Vaughny, Yosser and Dickie in the sticks. The reserves gop looking for their first back to back win after their 2-0 win at Wigan last week.

Everton From: Wright, Irving, Molyneux, Dennehy, Hughes, Kissock, Vidarsson, Phelan, Kearney, Anichebe, Vaughan, Morrison, Jones, Connor, Densmore, Agard.
