Everton Class Tells in The End.

Everton: Gerrard, Hibbert, Cleland, Sauso, Valentine, Pilkington, Clarke, Gascoigne, Tal, McLeod, Cadamarteri, .

Subs: Pettinger, Kearney, O'Hanlon, Curran, Eaton for Valentine (46m).

Bolton: Banks, Hunt, O'Hare, Dootson, Livesey, Buchanan, Eckersley, Ryan, Hansen, Bird, Downey.

Everton had Finnish U18's International, Jukka Sauso in their lineup tonight. He is a defender, but can also play in midfield. He is a tall lad, & did nothing wrong. He looked comfortable on the ball, although he needs another game against a stronger team to gauge how good he really is. The game itself had Everton in the driving seat for most of the game, although we went in at half time a goal down. This came after 19minutes when Bo Hansen hit a fine shot, which gave Gerrard no chance. Everton's chances came from Idan Tal, who was Everton's best man on the night,a shot straight at the keeper from 6 yards out. McLeod had a shot saved, & then Danny Cadamarteri had a header pushed behind by the keeper. We should have at least went in at half time level. With Gazza & Tal having lots of possetion, it was the final ball which was lacking. Also we missed Nick Chadwick, a recognised striker.

Half-time: Everton 0, Bolton 1.

The second half brought more of the same, but this time Everton got the goals their play deserved. The shots pounded the Bolton goal. Firstly Tony Hibbert pulled his shot wide. Then Gazza didthe same. It was all Everton. Tal had a shot saved. He got the equaliser though, when he recieved a great Gazza pass, jinked, & shot past the keeper. From this moment it was a case of when we were going to get the winner. Gazza was on blob, & kept pushing little passes to the willing runners, McLeod, Cadamartei, & Tal. He was going through afew tricks now. The most memerable was when he megged this kid, who wasn't pleased. The winning goal came after good work from the blonde Danny, who crossed from the right. His cross was missed by Gazza & the keeper leaving defender George Pilkington to show them how to finish. Everton had lot of good performances from Gazza, Hibbert, McLeod, Pilkington, &Idan Tal

Full - time: Everton 2 Bolton 1.
