Nick Chadwick scored his 4th goal in 4 games for the reserves here tonight. His 6th in 8 games. He looks the part, he scores, he wins the ball in the air, he's young, he's fast, he gets stuck in, he got booked again. Give him a go Walter. If you read the Blue Kipper reserve reports this season, we have said Chadwick is ready for the first team. The game itself was like watching the 1st team against Charlton. The only highlights were a couple of saves from Gerrard, & a shot on the turn from Chadwick.

Half-time: Everton 0, Newcastle 0.

The second half was just a little more riveting. I was just nodding off when Chadwick scored. What a strike it was! Newcastle headed the ball out to the edge of the box, & Chadwick volleyed it back into the back of the net. Pure class. This is more than potential. Play him Walter. Everton then did what we always do when we are winning. We hung on. If it wasn't for Gezza, we would have lost, but that is what he's there for. He made 3 good saves, & 1 in the last few minutes, which was outstanding. Other players to do well were Tony Hibbert, & George Pilkington. But the best player was Nick Chadwick.
