Chad Scores again for Toffees

Everton: Gerrard, Cleland, Valentine, O’Hanlon, Pilkington, Southern, Tal, Osman, Chadwick, Eaton, McLeod.

Bench: Kearney, Pettinger, Curran, Moogan.

Scorers: Chadwick (61'),

Wednesday: Roberts (Siddall 45), Oates, Crane (Adam Quinn 45), Uddin, R Wood, Muller, Santry, Gibson, Morrison (Shaw 83), Di Piedi, Itonga.

Nick Chadwick scored yet again for the reserves, & should go straight into the senior squad, as soon as possible. Maybe the trip to West Ham is too early, but he should be ok for the FA Cup game at Boro. His goal came after a great run & cross down the left by Kevin McLeod, Chadders met it first time & drove it home after 27 minutes. This should have been Everton's second, as David Eaton hit his shot over the bar from the 6 yard box. Chadwick should have increased Everton's lead with two efforts, a shot on the turn, & a header over the bar.

Half-time: Everton 1, Sheff Wed 0.

The second half was just a little more of the same.Everton pressed forward, with both wingers Tal & McLeod trying their best, but running into blind alleys. Maybe this is why Walter won't promote them to the senior squad. Gibson scored for Wednesday. Players to do well were Nick Chadwick, & George Pilkington.
