...and If You Know Your History My mate bought this reg EFC 1878, OK 187A, but with a discreet screw put in place it is priceless to him. It is without doubt the greatest reg plate the world has ever seen. Top site boys, Cheers Mike (18/10/05) |

Me
and the missus came across a village called Everton on a recent trip
to the New Forest, and I couldn't resist the photo opportunity (much
to her embarrassment!). Surely by far the greatest village the world
has ever seen?! |

Everton Everywhere Hello lads, Butters here, Evertonian living in Belo Horizonte Brasil. Yep, the very place the yanks beat England 1-0 in the world cup many blue moons ago. I was flying from Brasil to Chile last Thursday when several very odd things started to happen. There was a minor problem with my ticket with the ground agent sorting it out eventually; his name? Sr. Everton. The flight duly gets under way and all on board are treated to the usual Brazilian friendship and hospitality. Nothing strange there then with the possible exception that the two male air stewards are both called Everton. If you would like to use the attached picture as evidence, please feel free! Finally, Friday’s only Chilean Torneo Clausura (First Division) game was….Everton v U. San Filipe. Everton, the Chilean version, currently lie second from bottom. All the best to you all and for the forthcoming campaign. If anybody knows me from my Everton days or Pensby Boys School, get in touch! Kevin Butters, Everton & Cruzeiro…pure Blue. Belo Horizonte, Brasil. (09/10/05) |

On a trip to Australia last year I was at Tangalooma on Moreton Island, just off the coast of Queensland near Brisbane, Saw this Anchor.
The plaue says:- "Rodger's Bower Anchor" Enquiries
indicate that this is an anchor from the 904 ton ship 'Everton' which
Captain D Davies sailed from Liverpool with Emigrants and cargo for Brisbane
on November 4th 1862. The anchor was subsequently recovered in 1950 my
Mr Harry Wadsworth of Cowan Cowan aboard the Norman R Wright and presented
to Tangalooma in 1972. |
