| Let's
get the name sorted first, it's THE TRAMWAY. The last time I was in The
Tramway, it was a Friday night pre - town visit, Squeeze were No. 1 with
'Cool for Cats' which was very apt for all the clientele, myself included,
we thought we were the coolest of cats in one of the hippest joints around.
That was then and this is now - whilst it is certainly no hip joint now,
The Tramway is most definitely a Top Toffee Ale'ouse where you receive a
very friendly welcome. |

The step into
the bar is a classic and gets every 'first timer', just look around at the
wry smiles from the locals. Finally, the ladder sticking out the ceiling
in the bar, whats that all about?
