Word has
reached Richie Harrison in the Far East, that we have mentioned
him on the site. Richie e-mailed Blue Kipper today.
Richie says: "Hello it's Richie here on me mate's
lap top. Just ruturned from Germany v Ireland. hope you saw the
flag on half way line. I was told by other bluenoses who arrived
today about the mention on Blue Kipper. Details are correct, the
flag is mine. Thanks for the mention. I'm a very proud blue. I
will be at Sapporo with the flag plus a friend Ste Cav. His flag
is a St George Cross with toffee hammers & EFC crest on it."
The power of the Internet!
Thanks again for all your e-mails telling ue about Richie's Flag
being at the Ireland v Germany game. See

With every
team having played at least one game, things are really hotting
up. Not for Joe Max Moore, though who only got on to the pitch for
the last 15minutes as a substitute in the USA 3- 2 win against Portugal.
But that is 15 minutes more than Ireland's Harry Hill who was seen
throwing water bottles to his mates from the bench at the1-1 draw
against the Germans. |

Moyesy spent today watching the China 'v' Costa Rica game, his target
appears to be Chinese midfielder Li Tie. He got a good look at him
as he played the full match unfortunately his team went down 2-0
but he did put in a good performance in his 73rd international and
he's only 24! Watch out for him when they play Brazil on Saturday
at 12.30pm. |

Saint Nic was suprised with the space he go to score the goal
against England. Alex says:"The English defenders were a
little passive and never challenged me. I hit the ball well. I
think Seaman was a little bit unsighted by his defenders. It was
not the hardest left-foot shot of my life, but it was the most
important."
"I
have heard there were a few Everton fans who wanted Sweden to
do well. To have a good World Cup will help my confidence when
I go back to Everton next season. It will be good for both Sweden
and Everton if I do well although at the moment I'm thinking of
my country. I spotted an Everton flag in the crowd during the
game and it made me feel at home. I hope not every English fan
is unhappy I scored. I thought Toby had a really good game as
well so it was a good day for our club as well as Sweden."

Japan v Belgium. Richie's flag
was in the stands again. Thanks for all twenty of you who e-mailed
us.
03/06/02
Mexico v Croatia, in the stands
was the Everton Flag again. Well done Richie! |

Moyesy saw transfer target Stipe
play in a 1- 0 defeat for Croatia against Mexico. He looked ok.
Made a few good stops, took a couple of crosses. Can kick a ball
like a donkey, but he needs a few lessons in how yo stop a pen.
Not that the goalie has much chance anyway. Don't know about Stipe
he looks a bit Stiffe. Jury's out.

Thanks to Catherine, Chris, Cookie,
Blue Dave, amongst others for pointing out the Everton Flag at the
England v Sweden game. You couldn't miss a big white flag with the
Everton badge in the centre, & Everton FC above & Huyton
below the badge. Aga in we think it was Richie Harrison, who lives
in Huyton. |

Saint Nic & Toby started the
game against England, but both were over run by a stronger midfield
in the 1st half. Nic put in a typical cross. It went into the stands.
Toby Linderoth worked well, but couldn't dictate the game. In the
second half, Alexandersson scored the equaliser, & Toby could
have won it with a greath half volley, which just cleared the bar.

As we settled
down to watch Germany v Saudi Arabia, we hear these monotone sounds
coming from the co-commentator. Straight away we said "That's
Tricky Trev". True enough it was Trevor Steven, fantastic player
of the eighties, player's agent, & now World Cup commentator.
When they handed back to the study here's Gary Lineaker, & Peter
Reid. The BBC is like an Everton old boys reunion. |

Tommy had an absolute blinder today and played a star
role in helping Denmark beat Uruguay 2-1. Jon Dahl Tomasson of
Feyenoord bagged both goals for the Danes and was awarded MoM
but Tommy ran him a close second, he was all over the place like
a rash, splaying passes, putting crosses in, tracking back and
always putting his foot in. Moysey must have been well impressed,
he'll have a job talking round the Everton directors who have
just increased Tommy's value by a couple of mill after today's
performance. Well done Tommy lad!

Lee Carsley was sub for the Irish,
even though they were without Roy Keane & Jason McIteer. So
it looks like he'll only get a game if there are more injuries
or Mick Mcarthy has another row with one of the other midfield
players. Maybe he may get a game against Saudi Arabia, who looked
shit, as the Germans put 8 past them. |

Evertonians
were in force at the opening game of the World Cup. At the France
0, Senegal 1 game The Blue & White Everton flag was flying for
all to see. Apparently it belongs to Richie Harrison, who lives
in Huyton. Well in Richie! If you see the flag or any others at
any games e-mail
Blue Kipper & we will give them a mention.

In 1966, we had World Cup Willie. Now we have World Cup
boobs. Japanese manufacturer, triumph has designed a bra & Knickers
set, called the 'Hat-trick'. Special features include cups covered
in netting and football patterned padding. The sexy bottoms are
a pair
of shorts embroidered with a picture of a goalkeeper catching a
ball. It was not modeled on an Everton goalie. If anyone wants to
score & get their hands on a Hat-trick set they need to find
a dolly bird wearing them. As the limited edition of just 100 sets
costing 17,000 yen (£90) are only to be sold in shops in Tokyo.
There is no truth in the rumour that Moyesy, in Japan on a bit of
Everton business was seen in one of these shops. |

Everton Icon, Kevin Sheedy is hoping
that his former Irish team mates, Roy Keane & Mick McCarthy can
bury the hatchet, & get Keane back in the World Cup.
Sheeds says: "I am surprised at what has happened. I hope
sense will prevail and Mick McCarthy and the Irish FAI can put something
together to get Roy to play in the World Cup." |

Tommy Grav was involved in a bust
up with Chelsea's Jesper Gronkjaer and Stig Tofting, It started as
a laugh, when Tommy & Stig stuffed ice cubes in Jesper's shorts.
He didn't like it, Took a huff. So Tommy smacked him. He then did
a runner. He'd been on the blower to saint Nic. Gronkjaer has now
a black eye. |

Moysey is off to Japan on Easyjet. The director's wanted him to sail,
but he got a cancellation. He is to watch France v Senegal. His obvious
target won't be fit - Zinadine Zadane. He is also watching Slovinia,
Croatia, & Spain. Expect our 1st signing to be the keeper who
makes a prick of himself. |

Denmark beat Tunisia 2-1 in Wakayama.
Tommy started the game. |

Lee Carsley's chances of playing for Ireland just get
better & better. While he sat in the stand, nursing a slight
knock, redshite, brain of Britain, Jason McAteer was getting carried
off with what looked like a bad injury. Robbie Keane scored 2 in
Ireland's 2-1 over local Japanese team Hiroshima. |
|
25/05/02
Toby played the full game for Sweden
in a 1 - 1 draw with Japan. Saint Nic came on as sub after 15 minutes
for Magnus Svensson. Both look likely to start in their opening World
Cup game next Sunday against, er who is it? |
|
23/05/02
With Roy Keane being sent home for being a tosser, Lee Carsley could
make the Irish midfield spot his own. Lee, who started his Everton
career slowly, finished the season with a flourish, scoring a great
goal at Highbury in our last game of the season. There is no truth
in the matter that Harry Hill was winding Keano up so he would take
his place. |
|
23/05/02
While Freddie Ljunberg & Olof Mellberg got stuck into each other,
Saint Nic made his excuse and done one. It happened at the Swedish
training ground, when Mellberg clattered into steady Freddie for the
second time. Freddie wasn't too happy, & it ended up in a bit
of fistycuffs. Alexandersson stayed out on the wing, didn't get stuck
in, let it all go by him. Sounds familiar. |
|

Scott Gemmill scored his 1st ever
goal for Scotland, when they beat a Hong Kong XI 4- 0 on the last
game of the far east tour. It's a hard life being a footballer. Scott
has taken 23 games before he scored for his native team. Considering
he scores about 1 a season for us, it's not a bad record. Dave Weir
also played in the win. |

Thomas Grav
has compared the Danish Spirit to that of 1998 when they got to
the 1/4 finals.Mad Dog says: "I
can't promise that we will reach the same stage as in 1998 but our
squad of young promising players and the old and experienced players
is a huge advantage for us. We
showed in qualification that we are team with a future. Our strong
point is that, despite having players like Ebbe Sand, Jon Dahl Tomasson
and Peter Loevenkrands, we are a team without stars. All of the
players are important and every player has to fight for his position
in the squad. I
think our first game against Uruguay will show us how well we will
do this time."
Tommy - has always got a quote! |

Scotland lost their 4th successive game against another
of team of World Cup no-hopers South Africa. This time they put
up a much more spirited display losing 2-0. SA's 2nd came in stopage
time against the run of play.Davie and Scot played the full 90.
Davie must be knackered. Boss new kit though. |
|
| 20/05/02
Sweeden were defeated 2-1 against Paraguay in Stockholm to end their
18-match unbeaten run.Toby and Saint Nic played for the full 90.
Everton target Magnus Hedman was in great form. Paraguay went in
at half time only one up was down to Hedman's performance. The crowd
booed the Sweedish team at half time. An insider told Blue Kipper
that the crowd at one time were singing "We want Jesper"

Joe "Couldn't hit a barn door
with a banjo" Max Moore was left out of the USA team, which struggled
in a 2-0 defeat by Holland. The dutch included Michael Reiziger, Jaap
Stam, Frank DeBoer, Arthur Numan, Edgar Davids, Phillip Cocu, Pierre
van Hooidonk & Boudewijn Zenden. It's a pity we won't be seeing
all these great player at the World Cup. Roy Makaay and Andy van der
Meyde scored their 1st international goals for the Dutch at Foxboro
Stadium, USA. Joe came on for the last 5 minutes. |
|
19/05/02
Moysey will have been impressed with what he saw. Mart Poom had a
great game. Estonia got beat 1-0. But it would have 10-0 if it wasn't
for Poom's outstanding display. I hope Gregory doesn't read this.
It will have put another mill on the fee. |
|
18/05/02
Moysey has flown to Poland to watch them
play Estonia in a World Cup warm up match. His target is Derby's keeper
Mart Poom. Derby want £4m for him. We can't afford it, so we
may barter & offer other players in part exchange. If he's gone
all the way out there he must be keen. |
|
18/05/02
Tommy Gravesen
had a steady game in a comfortable win over Cameroon for Denmark in
Copenhagen last night. Denmark could have won by more than the 2-1
scoreline only for some outstanding saves from Boukar Alioum, the
Cameroon keeper. Will Moysey go for him as well ? He wasn't worried
by Tommy's only effort. A 30 yarder which flew high over the bar.
|
|
| 17/05/02
Joe 'could'nt hit a barn door with a banjo' Max Moore lived up to
his name when he scored none in a 5-0 win over Jamaica. He did set
up a goal. Well done Joe! |
 |
16/05/02
Lee Carsley was left out of the starting line up for Ireland in their
friendly against Nigeria, which they lost 2-1. He should get a run
out in the next game.
|
|
16/05/02
The Rad scored a brace against a Swiss side, who had some redshite
player, Henchalarda or something marking him. The first goal was a
whoppa. A shot into the top corner. He scored the 3rd, & his 2nd
when he broke away a la Gooners to volley home. Get yer money on the
swiss to be wooden spoon winners at the World Cup. |
|
| 16/05/02
Davie Weir, Scott Gemmill, &
Everton target Graham Alexander all played for Scotland today when
the got whacked 4-1 by North Korea in Korea. Alexander got turned
inside out for one goal, & nearly scored an own goal. Not to
worry there's no Koreans in the Premiership. Gemmill laid on the
consolation goal for Dobie.
Davie
Weir wasn't too happy he said:"I don't want to use jet-lag
as an excuse because we didn't play regardless of that. We just
didn't get close enough to them. It was all a bit of a disaster."
Scotland Manager Berti Vogts said: "It is a hard job, a very
hard job, but it's a good job. I am not losing faith. I think we
will see the real team when we play the Danish team." A bit
too much Sake for Berti or what? Watch out Tommy Grav.

Mark Pembridge played in a historic 1-0 win against Germany. The
game was supposed to be an easy warm up for the German's on route
to Japan for the finals of the World Cup. Pembo played the full
game.
Former
German international Gunter Netzer, commentating on the game said
about the German Display "They were just whacking the ball
and hoping it would land in a good spot. There's no philosophy.
There's no strategy, there's no system, there's nothing at all.
It was truly frightening."

Joe Max
Moore helped USA win 2-1 in a warm-up game against Uruguay at
the RFK Stadium in Washington. Joe came on as sub in the second
half. Joe will be hoping to get on the scoresheet on Thursday
when USA play Jamaica, and then against Holland on 19th May. |
