Italy Next

Tim Cahill played the full 90 minutes, as Australia got the point they need to progress to the knockout stage. The 2-2 against Croatia was enough to give the Socceroos a game against Italy on Monday. (22/06/06)

Materazzi

Alexandersson

Linderoth

McBride

Former Everton players had mixed fortunes as some of the last group games were played out today. Marco Materazzi came on and scored for Italy as they won 2-0 against the Chec Republic to top the group. Bake McBride hit the post as the USA went down 2-1 to Ghana and consequently out of the competition. While on Tuesday Toby and Saint Nic played in the 2-2 draw against England to go through to the next round. (22/06/06)

Toffees In Cologne

This is a picture of me and my brother Ian, in Cologne for the Sweden game. The flag belonged to some other blues but they were happy for us to get a photo taken with it. Apparently Stubbsy and Joe Parkinson were there but got off to go to the match. Been to Mexico v Portugal today, and going to the Brazil game tomorrow so more photos will follow.

Nuno Rested

With Portugal already qualified, manager Big Phil Scolari has rested some of his star players. Deco, Ronaldo and our own Nuno Valente are left on the bench for the last group game against Mexico. He can now get the ipod back on and lounge on the bench. Portugal won the game 2-1 to top the group. (21/06/06)

Evertonians Everywhere

Talksport presenter, Alan Brazil is over in Germany to cover the World Cup. He has been commenting on the number of Toffeemen he has seen.

Alan says: "There are thousands of fans from all clubs in Britain over here. By far the most I've met are from Everton." (21/06/06)

Cahill Spots The Everton Flags

Tim says: "I love the fact that there is so much interest back home amongst the Everton supporters. I have had so many texts and messages from my Everton friends and I’m just loving it all. I know that there are some Everton fans over here for the games and I have been keeping an eye out for the flags." (21/06/06)

Tunisia Saudi and Everton!

Here's a pic of me in my super slim Everton shirt at the Tunisia / Saudi Arabia Game with 2 of their supporters. Couldn't understand a word they said but I think their names were Jimmi Al Magra and Jon Raf Teree. Toffees everywhere in Munich - best represented club by far but no surprises there!!

Paul Tandy.
